I am on disability and I am would like to get into a HUD home I was intersection 8 since 1999 till last year the maintenance guy sexually harass me and pull my clothes down till I was naked from my waist and down and I reported it to section 8 and the game is 60 days to move out I lost my section 8 cuz I couldn't find an apartment that was on the amount that they were giving me $1,400 the rents all went so high a one-bedroom was going for like 2000 and I've been homeless since then I'm still homeless I got very sick emotionally mentally my doctor Pedro Rodriguez put me in the hospital in Mount Sinai on the beach Florida and I was there for like almost 2 months so when I came out try to find me a place ask for an extension they gave me an extension but I was so sick emotionally because it was so much abuse the landlords will not fix nothing it was rat infested as I was showering a red jumped up from behind the toilet and hit me on my chest I slipped and fell fractured my shop right shoulder so they have I had to have a shoulder replacement so I got me a lawyer and there was so many lies and so much everything going on I'm still still fighting the case and when the inspectors will come in they were just hit the alarm and that was it they will walk right out they will not check windows they will not turn on false as they were not turn on lights they will not flush the toilet the toilet was coming off from the ground because the screws were not well tides everything was molded and very very bad condition I suffered so much and then the boiler water boiler blew up and there was a fire in the shed I have all the pictures of everything all the proof pictures of everything the rats socket on fire I mean the big hole in the wall the water damaging the coming in through the walls and mold everywhere I mean and the guy named Rex sexually harass me and I know why they did that because when I fell they knew I was going to sue so he did that to scare me and move me out well when I told section 8 about it at Hollywood authority housing they did they told me that I had to move out of 60 days I said but where am I going to go I'm sick right now my shoulder is damaged and I need a shoulder replacement some Dr Ronald Doctor who Donna's did my shoulder replacement and then I went to therapy from thereI'm still like going through a lot because I'm still homeless due to all this abuse mentally physically emotionally and you're like maybe the person that I really wanted to talk to because section 8 knows what's going on but they keep covering everything up because the inspectors weren't doing their job they weren't even coming to in the house they will come out of Karen's house the same day they had to come in my house and they wouldn't come into my house cuz they said that Rex told him that he already fixed everything it was just it's just so terrible what I went through and I'm just praying to God that there's somebody out there from section 8 authority that can help me because I've been on section 8 since 1999 and I just lost it last year why because of all this that happened to me the roof caved in and a tropical storm he came in to fix it but he didn't fix it and said he pulled my pants and my panties down all the way to my knees I found the coffee fell on my side burn me up I was so upset he ran out the back door in the kitchen got in a blue car for a blue car small car and drove offhe never fixed the ceiling I have the receipt of the person that I contracted with to and he fixed the ceiling for me without me having a penny but he said that I would have to find a way to pay him this money and the landlord has to pay him the money not me the bill is for $443 anyway I pray to God that you hear me that you get this message gets to you and that you can help me get me out of the streets please I'm 61 years old I worked as a PCT patient care technician taking care of the seniors and taking care of children and I did everything a nurse knows what to do I graduated in 1992 until this day I'm still a patient care technician the LPN work and CNA workout done at all from take us to g2's to flushing to functioning to catheter some other baby I've done it all but my life right now is in bad shape because I don't have nowhere settled or I can get my life back on track even me being homeless right now I have to go and renew my competency test so I won't lose my certificate that's the only thing that I have to help me and I'm asking you to please help me get me out of the streets so I start school next month JuneI have to go on the first Monday for Mondays for Monday through Thursday and take the course and take the test and don't reinstate in Tallahassee my certificate nursing certificate again and I don't know you know the thing is I don't have water baths I don't know what I don't have work and clean my uniforms on my stuff is in storage I'm in the streets and I am so sad because of everything that I'm going through tell please help me get me out the streets I want my voucher back I have my voucher my voucher number is 209-4169 name is Ivette Rodriguez my birthday is 4231963 I just turned 61 years old I just have a surgery that I have to do on my knee I have to get a knee replacement and after my rehabilitation I want to go back to work not maybe in a nursing home or hospitals know I'll probably do like private duty on dialysis in hospice but I just need a roof over my head and place where I can bathe a place where I can wash my uniforms and get myself cleaned up get myself back on track oh my God if you only know what I've gone through I don't know your name but God bless you and I'm so glad that all the sudden I just started looking for HUD homes and I said to myself well maybe if I just keep saving my money cuz I'm just homeless I have enough money at least to put on a heart on a hot home I don't know what to do but all I know is that I need a roof over my head and I did join the lottery in February for Dade county housing authority but my lottery number unfortunately didn't come out well you know with 5,000 people so I have to keep waiting and I just need a roof over my head I can't afford to pay you know it's almost 3,000 2,400 I for a place to live😊 and then now they got all these houses they have all these houses with bunk beds and they renting each bed for like $900 800 750 for a bunk bed and your living in a room with a bunch of people strangers that you don't know you all got to use one bathroom so a lot of these places that's what they're doing now but I refuse to put myself in that project man when I had for my section 8 for so so many years never had no problems with no inspectors never have problems with no maintenance man until I move to 1955 Lincoln Street Hollywood Florida 33020 it was like living in a in an invisible environment it was just horrible the way these people treated me so I hope that you can help me It is a croooked operation!I don't donate to them or even shop there..their prices are rediculous. i can see the reasoning somewhat because of resale.but thats not real because the employees and scammers that work there scam anything worth anything..Fuck goodwill

Going to contact them all tomorrow. For years now theyve refused to replace a non working meter despite having an electrician tell them the reason it stopped functioning is because of a frayed wire feeding our house. $800 bills every month sent & were at 10k now because without a meter they were free to charge whatever they liked.. Finally after 4years we did just finally get them to replace the wire and meter but not after causing 3k in repairs to our house wiring that was damaged from only a single phase of the two wire feed provinding power to the home. Honestly the criminal monoply energy companies are a primary reason for the decay of a working capitalist society. How can we prosper as a country when were bled dry just trying to survive

I only donate to Salvation Army or St. Vincent De Paul.. where they actualy help homeless, feed them, clothe them, help people pay their rent, utilities, etc. etc. I shop Goodwill because Im poor.. but their prices are crazy high.. $24 for a pair of mans jeans.

I have a section 8 voucher in a complex that doesn’t transfer anywhere except possibly another project complex. I want to use a voucher to go to another complex. When I came to this complex with section 8 I was not given information of the issue of moving to another complex that is not project. I wouldn’t have come here then. No one can help me now at the county and I feel trapped!

Hi Jay , I do need your assistance due to the fact that I have been on Social Security Disability since 2019, and I only receive enough to pay rent. Every month, I struggle to pay rent and other bills. I have received eviction notices at least 3 times already. I am on remission with Stage 3 cancer, but I am now experiencing chronic heart failure and spine issues. I am also having issues with not being able to pay my caretaker. Kindly please assist me in this matter . I am battling so much health wise and have applied for assistance since I was diagnosed with cancer in 2019.

I am now experiencing spine issues and chronic heart failure . I have been renting my apartment since 2019 and have been struggling with my rent . I have had 2 eviction notices and am struggling every month to make my rent. I have applied for section 8 and low income housing since 2019.

My power bill is $4700. I have a smart meter. My power got turned off on 3/25/24, and it's still off. I can't afford to pay it. It kept going up during covid. I paid a minimum on it but couldn't keep it up.

I love Jay for being so enlightened. I was in denial about my disability for a decade. I'm only emerging now (I still have dreams of success). Homelessness IS dangerous. Shelters are so bad people elect to live outside. They have strict curfews and tight restrictions that make progress impossible. I was put out of 2 or 3 women's shelters because my stalker found me there. I was put out of one for having a camera to document the injuries he inflicted. Living outside for a woman is next to a death sentence. I won't elaborate. Statistics tell that story. I went through the above while paying a mortgage on the home I finally fled due to a lack of help from police. Now, I can't make myself take a few classes to get my resume up to date and I can't keep a crappy job that doesn't cover my bills because I'm sick from stress. If you're not disabled, you probably will be after experiencing homelessness.

I have a 35 year old son disabled been since infant . Has seizures and some developmental disabilities. He can live on his own with supportive care. The place where he was staying is condemned due to roof and floors caving in. I tried to find out about 811 on website. Tried to get a representative to refer him with the number they provided and they said they don't do that, then they just sent me down a internet rabbit hole. I am in Georgia.

Our Housing Authority here is nuts!!! They just built themselves a NEW PALACE ten years back! No one will investigate them, but we have an 8 million bust up in Pierce County!! I am legally disabled and have never had an ounce of luck!!! I have tried since my daughter was born and she is now 20, so we don't even qualify anymore!!! God Bless from Olympia.
